Flamenco & Harmony
Flamenco and Harmony is an interesting study about the scales that are used in flamenco music, directed to all type of instrumentalists and cantaores. Its eminently practical objective fits within those types of books that will help you understand the vocabulary of flamenco in a clear and effective way to approach this music with a certain knowledge of the sound material (scales and chords), as well as its inclusion in The environment of tonal music.
An analysis made from the cante and its harmonization, carried out by the guitarists throughout history that leads us to the presentation of a block of exercises designed to work in detail each of the scales and chords exposed in The theoretical part.
All the exercises are accompanied by audio tracks with accompaniments and examples of different versions: for bass players, guitar players melodic instruments, cantaores, etc. In the recording of these audios have collaborated artists such as Jorge Pardo, Juan Parrilla, Chano Dominguez, Juan Villar (son), Raul Gálvez, Nono García, Tito Alcedo and a long etcetera of musicians and cantaores from various styles related to flamenco.
